SCIENTIFIC AND ENGINEERING EXPERTISE

Technology and implementation consulting

I assess technical and materials problems as an engineer and scientist, not by intuition. As a habilitated doctor of materials engineering and a patent attorney, I help companies solve problems, assess new ideas, and prepare for funding.

PLN 0 — initial case assessment. An independent technical assessment — with no stake in telling you what you want to hear.

FIG. 01 / SCOPE OF CONSULTING

What I can help you with

Technology and materials consulting

Choosing the right material, technology and direction for a solution.

Analysis of technological problems

When something isn't working the way it should, and no one knows why.

Assessment of new product and technology concepts

Whether the idea holds up, before you invest in it.

R&D support

Substantive help with research and development projects.

Innovation and implementation potential assessment

Whether a solution is genuinely innovative and can actually be implemented.

Technical expert opinions

Independent, for disputes, decisions and due diligence.

FIG. 02 / WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO

There's one person behind this page — me. I'm a habilitated doctor of materials engineering and I head the Department of Polymer Materials Engineering at Kazimierz Wielki University.

I have over 100 scientific publications and years of work on materials, mechanics and technology behind me. That means when I assess your problem or idea, I rely on real scientific knowledge and research experience — and as an independent expert I have no stake in telling you what you want to hear. You get an honest assessment, not a sales pitch.

FIG. 03 / R&D AND GRANTS

R&D support, grants and innovation assessment

If you're running research and development work or applying for funding, you need someone to confirm the technical value of your solution — because it's often the substantive assessment that decides whether a project gets approved. I assess a project's innovativeness and help prepare the technical grounds for a grant application, a technology loan, or an R&D tax relief claim. I also advise on identifying which work qualifies as R&D — often the hardest part of settling that relief.

One distinction that's easy to mix up — these are two different things, and I help with both:

Technical and business question

Innovation assessment

Whether a solution brings new value and can be implemented.

what I do here

Legal question

Patentability search

Whether it can be patented at all.

FIG. 04 / TECHNICAL EXPERT OPINIONS

An independent voice you can rely on

Sometimes you need an independent voice to settle a technical question — because there's a dispute underway, an investor wants verification, or you have to make a decision and want more than a hunch to base it on. I prepare technical expert reports and opinions: failure and damage analysis, assessment of material and manufacturing technology choices, solution verification. As an independent expert with a scientific background, I give you an assessment you can rely on — including in proceedings and due diligence.

FIG. 05 / PROCESS

What working together looks like

  1. 01

    Conversation about the problem

You tell me what you're bringing and what you want to achieve.

  2. 02

    Analysis

I look at the case from a technical and materials perspective.

  3. 03

    Recommendation

You get a concrete solution, often with a few variants to choose from.

  4. 04

    Testing and implementation

If needed, we verify the solution before it goes into production.

  5. 05

    Post-implementation check

We check that it worked the way it was supposed to.

FIG. 06 / WHO IT'S FOR

Who I most often work with

If you have a technical problem or decision, let's start with a conversation.

  • Companies developing products (plastics and materials industry)
  • R&D teams
  • Companies pursuing grants and R&D tax relief
  • Investors and parties to disputes
  • Universities and institutes

FIG. 07 / FROM TECHNOLOGY TO PROTECTION

From technology to protection — in one place

Technology consulting often ends with the discovery that a solution is worth protecting. I'm also a patent attorney, so the same combination of skills works in both directions — without starting from scratch with someone else.

technical & implementation assessment

When your idea turns out to be innovative, I move smoothly from technical assessment to protecting it.

FIG. 08 / COSTS

How much it costs

We start with a conversation: the initial case assessment is free. I bill consulting by the hour, while expert reports and implementation support are quoted individually — their scope depends on the case.

FIG. 09 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions about technology consulting

An innovation assessment answers a technical and business question — whether a solution brings new value and can be implemented. A patentability search answers a legal question — whether it can be patented. These are two different things, and I help with both.

Yes, on the substantive side: I assess innovativeness, prepare the technical grounds for the application, and help identify work that qualifies as R&D.

A formal innovation opinion is issued by an independent scientific unit. I can support you with the technical assessment and the substantive grounds — we'll work out the details around your project.

A concrete recommendation — usually with a few solution variants to choose from.

Consulting from PLN 250/h, expert reports quoted individually, and the initial conversation is free.
