Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data the pioryt.com.pl website collects, for what purpose and on what legal basis, how long it is stored, and what rights data subjects have.

The controller is Piotr Rytlewski, trading as Piotr Rytlewski Kancelaria Techniczno-Patentowa Pioryt, ul. Topolowa 12, 86-031 Osielsko, Poland, VAT ID PL5542381030, patent attorney entered on the Polish register of patent attorneys under number 3380.

What data is collected

The website only collects data you provide yourself:

  • Contact form — name, e-mail address, optionally phone number, subject and message.
  • Solution description form — name, e-mail address, type of case, technical field, stage of work, information about prior disclosure, description of the solution and an optional attachment.
  • Newsletter — e-mail address.
  • Technical data — IP address and submission time, stored with the form entry to limit abuse.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to your enquiry and taking steps before entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Defending against claims and keeping the website secure — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest of the controller.
  • Sending the newsletter — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Tax and accounting obligations once cooperation begins — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Confidentiality. As a patent attorney I am bound by professional secrecy. A description of a solution sent before a patent filing is treated as confidential information and is not disclosed to third parties. Attachments sent through the form are not stored in any publicly accessible part of the website — they are delivered only to my mailbox.

Retention periods

  • Correspondence and form submissions — up to 3 years from the last contact, matching the limitation period for claims.
  • Data related to a concluded contract — for the period required by tax law, as a rule 5 years from the end of the accounting year.
  • Newsletter address — until consent is withdrawn.

Recipients of the data

Data may be processed by entities operating the website infrastructure: the hosting and e-mail provider, and where necessary an accounting office and law firms cooperating on a case. These entities act under data processing agreements. Data is not sold and is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

In proceedings before patent offices (UPRP, EUIPO, EPO), data necessary for the filing is submitted to those offices to the extent required by the procedure.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing, transfer the data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time — without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.

Is providing data mandatory

Providing data is voluntary, but without an e-mail address I will not be able to reply. The website does not make automated decisions and does not use profiling.

Cookies

The website does not use analytical, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not embed third-party scripts — fonts and other assets are served from the same server as the page. Only technical cookies required by the content management system may be used.

Changes to this policy

If the scope of data processing changes, this policy will be updated and the date of the last change given below.
